Do you know why...

...the younger generation don't seem in any great rush to marry?

I believe it's because most of the older generation didn't set any enviable example for marriage!! And these days everyone is afraid to make a mistake that would last a life time.


If you are single...pray this: 'father in heaven, do not let me enter into the wrong home'

    My feelings exactly! Some lady was lamenting to me about the children, husband, she's always tired always stressed bla blah and in the same breath, asked 'so when are you getting married na, you're wasting time o' I said to her misery really doth love company!I'm not in any hurry to be like you! It's unfortunate, but true. I agree with you.

      Exactly!!! Almost all those asking me 'when will you marry'....always complain about their own marriages!

      So why the rush?

    My number one prayer not to marry the wrong man and enter the wrong house...the fear of making mistake is why I still have not settled down oh...to me better a broken engagement than broken home

    The thing is the bad marriages seem to be the only thing in the news. When you see the good marriages most of our fears will jump out of the window.
    stay positive, believe, do your due diligence before not after the marriage.

    Amen. There are good marriages out there though. But it does feel like the bad ones are quite more.Sometimes, it feels like most married people are just too miserable and miserable all the time. Lol. Lets focus on the positive sha. May God help us all.

    Your observation is spot on.The young generation tend to take their time in getting married,but not just because of the fact that the older generation didn't make marriage enviable,but also because sex seem to have taken over the minds of people and love (which is a strong incentive) is almost like a dream.And also,materialism is at it's peak in this generation,this brings fear to the minds of people who want to get married for the right reasons.
